My waters have gone

Waters have gone but no contractions yet, due to go in to get checked out! This is second baby and the first broke in hospital.

Any oxytocin-inducing activity would be great to help encourage contractions now! Keep the room at hospital lovely and dark with mood lighting, plenty of hugs with the partner, breathing etc alongside swaying/ball exercises/squats etc to really get baby to push against your cervix! All the best - so exciting!

Aw exciting - this happened to me with my first, they said I had 24 hours to go into active labour naturally otherwise I was booked in for an induction. They started naturally within 12 hours 🙏🏻 good luck, exciting you’ll see your baby soon x

I have 24hrs to go into labour, hoping I do but trying to keep oxytocin flowing though still no contractions! I’m at home for now 🙂

Try getting some rest for now then going for a long walk first thing in the morning?

Any updates @Emily? I'm invested!

Thank you for checking in, I’ve gone in for monitoring and all is well (BP/baby movements/ temp/ colour of fluid) and so I have another 24hrs before I go back in for monitoring and discussion around induction

No contractions! But hopefully it will soon
