Can you cite exact article he is putting into place? I know he has said this for minors…but not for adults over the age of 18. Unless he has written or said it verbatim This way…I think it’s heresay on this topic.

@Leigh these are direct quotes from a video he himself put out of him explaining this

Do you have a link?

My opinion on everything these people say is that it's a made up scare tactic to get everyone to fight with each other.

not to mention abolishing the department of education 😍😍😍😍 yaaaaayy 😔

@Julia https://www.instagram.com/p/DCM1ajepdH0/?igsh=Ymh3ZXNocDZ1Mmgx

@Julia this is where I saw it but I'm unsure where the video was originally posted

@Jessica I also wonder if this applies to intersex babies, will they also stop parents from 'choosing' one sex and going ahead with surgeries and hormones or if this will still be supported.

I also just found the original video on his website if anyone is interested. Won't like his site but it's under videos on page two

@Alex damn i didn’t even think about that. this can get really scary for intersex people i’m sure. and those with other disorders that affect sex and hormones

Im sorry but government shouldnt pay for someones elective surgery. Im from canada, we have free healthcare which includes NONelective surgery. We have to pay for elective surgery like genderchange, breast enlargement (reduction is free as it helps with other health issues). Sex change is elective, having a penis doesnt have the potential to cause medical issues, same goes for breasts. I dont care if a man wants to change his penis into a vagina and add boobs, i dont care if a woman wants to remove her boobs to become a man; i care if im paying for that in my tax dollars. Because gender dysmorphia is a thing, and from reaearch alot of transpeople commit suicide after transition. Not saying all do, theres a few that actually level out mentally afterwards but there are people who dont and it gets worse and they cant change it back because you cant reattach your penis to you cus they used it to make the vagina. deep dived into this as at one point i thought i wanted to transition so did all the research for both

Male to female and female to male and it made me realise that it wasnt the way to go and im much happier. Do what you want but i shouldnt have to pay for someone else to change their gender there theres atleast minimum 75% chance of it going to waste when the person who transistioned realised it was not the way to go a little too late. I know someone who transitioned and is now hooked on heavy drugs because she is realising changing from man to woman may not have been the beat choice. So ive seen it personally as well as doing research

@Monique I'm also in Canada, breast augmentation is covered for breast cancer survivors. It's covered for gender affirming care based on province and the approval of many specialists. There is no concrete evidence that trans people commit after transition because of regret, and your friend is not proof either, that's their own experience.

@Monique parents shouldn't get to decide how their kids identify.

@Alex with hermaphroditism they should do a DNA test to see which is the more dominant gender so they can make a more informed decision. They can still the the less dominant one but they would have to take whatever to stop the dominant from taking over.

@Monique so they still need to treat minors with hormones in that case, which will be illegal.

@Monique I mean more, why should that be allowed? They're born that way right, realistically it shouldn't be changed when they're a baby/child, it should be up to them when they're an adult if that's what they choose to do. Most arguments for kids not transitioning when they're trans is that gender surgery or hormones shouldn't be allowed because they're kids, so it also shouldn't be allowed in this situation.

@Jessica 😳 the role of mother and father according to who, old white men ?

@Monique my ex was taking hormone treatment years ago before we met, thought she was trans. Said she realised she was lesbian but could have made a huge mistake as no one thought to take the time to talk to her first before giving hormones! Also know few others who also stopped treatment and another who really struggled mentally after transition

@Alex that also goes against his new laws, as it will be required everyone identifies as male or female and intersex people are technically both. So what then?

@Tiffany exactly! And what about families where there's two moms or two dads? Fuck them right? Trump is so supportive of the gays 🙄

@Alex they may be born that way but having both cant fuck with mental illness. The RARE case of hermaphroditism the parents of a friend left them as male and female they took male dominantly but still had breasts, sure normal for him but others he was a "freak". It took a huge toll on his psychy. But also they didnt give him the options of ehat could be done when he was older. Theres a time and place for things like hormones BUT it should be the PARENTS decision if under 18 not the governments or teachers like it has been. hermaphroditism cases ARE the time and place for that decision yo be made otherwise kids/teens woth genderdysmorphia should wait till theyre 18, been to a psychiatrists to talk to and if the psychiattrist agrees after many sessions a sex change would help then they should be able to as long as they continued talking to a psychiatrist after transition to help through the mental portion of the change. Done right it could be better but NOTHING has been done right they just jumped in and

Forgot how to swim

@Jessica in hermaphroditism cases it can wait till theyre 18

@Monique I am not a trump supporter BUT I agree that medical shouldn’t pay for someone’s surgeries if it is not an emergency or life threatening because it is a choice. Especially as a child because how is it you can change your gender but not get a tattoo or piercing until you’re 18 🙃 it is just my opinion we can agree to disagree

@Cindy im 100% with you. I may not be a supporter of him (or any politics at that) but he does of some points that make sense.

Y'all no one is giving kids surgical transitions

@Jessica not kids necessarily but minors yes I’ve been in school w some who had started young but obviously w parents consent. Wtv they do is none of our business people just don’t want taxpayer dollars to go towards those surgeries

@Monique no there have not.

@Jessica I don’t think taxpayers pay for circumcisions. I had to pay for my sons, so hopefully his laws or whatever will not be making that decision for anyone… it’s not his choice. I hate politics 🥴🥴

@Jessica children shouldn’t decide ; you’re 18 and think you’re “wrong” fine but no child should decide they are not what they are born .

@Cindy that's the argument I keep making. We don't allow anyone under 21 drink alcohol or buy cigarettes because it's harmful to their developing bodies, amount other reasons..... yet we are going to let children decide how to permanently alter their bodies? I don't think taxes should pay for that type of elective surgery.

I don't want to deal with the glaring racism when he's in office. I want to apply for a job and have the best person get the job, which is not based on skin color. I also want to have the right to choose. Both me and my partner have sickle cell trait. We take a test at 12 weeks to see if our fetus has sickle cell. After that, we can decide if we want to continue the pregnancy. I want men and women to be paid equally for the same job. To end this with - I want to get the same jobs as my white counterparts. There's no reason I should have more degrees and experience and someone who doesn't look like me get the job. I am not worried about gender and what people associate themselves as. If my kids said they were gay or not in the right body, I wouldn't care. Nor would I surgically try and fix this. I would allow them to decide on what to do at 18.

I remember myself as a kid and a teenager I was dealing with so much confusion as it is with school, peers, bulling and other cr*p and thinking of dealing with sex, gender and identification would make my life miserable. I believe kids should be raised in a somewhat calm environment and let them decide for themselves when they are 18 and over. I think what trump is trying to do is not go against but protect children and their mental health at very young and vulnerable times of their lives.

i don’t see an issue with any of this. he has said this is regarding minors, children. if you’re under 18, you shouldn’t be getting sex changes. you’re a child. i also don’t think my tax payer money should be going to help others medical procedures, especially something that isn’t life threatening.

@Lora that is not what woke means. Woke is a Black term directly SOLELY towards other Black people, in regards to the negative impacts of white supremacy and the lasting affects on the black community and the way we think of ourselves. Then white people came and changed the entire meaning of it. It’s a term that has been around decades. This isn’t an attack towards you. I’m just letting you know.

I have two masters, and after affirmative action was revoked, I have seen where I can apply for jobs, get the interview, and not land the job. But someone without a master's and without the 10 years of experience I have landed the job. To say how much my heart hurts from seeing that?! How often have I been told you need to work harder to get where you want to be? In reality, it doesn't matter.

@Renee men & woman do get paid the same for the same job. but men are often in careers or jobs that pay more, such as construction, architect vs women who are in roles such as teachers, nurses. overtime is not accounted for as men work more hours. men typically work more hours on average per week. woman typically take more time off bc pregnancy issues. there are so many factors that are not accounted for. the wage gap is not real.

Following for when i have time later

@Bay, let me blow your mind. I'm a salaried worker with two masters. I can assure you that my male counterpart will get paid more than me with fewer credentials. I work 7 days a week for the past 10 years. Last year, I had a baby and was told it would be bad for me if I took a leave despite how I was struggling. A google search would have told you that men and women do not get paid the same for the same work. I currently work in payroll so I have seen what people make at companies for my entire career. And let me tell you something - men and women are never paid the same.

@Bay the wage gap is most definitely real. a simple google search would show you that

@Bay wage gap because of gender is real Men also get promoted faster, offered more initially, taking off for pregnancy and being offered less or no job at all is discrimination, but work as well as society also unfairly makes women the default parent regardless of her career and shames her even if she is the breadwinner although men don’t get the same treatment.

@Bay adding in if you want to go as deep as what skin color is paid more or less. I'm telling you. Minorities get paid less. Then women get paid less than that. I get people voted for their own interest. But my interest is this. I was told work hard. Get the degrees. I did that!!!! I followed the rules. Google how many people have 2 masters! Black women are now the most educated. However we are not highly compensated. Why?!

@Bay and a CRNA is actually a highly paid job - ranking in at $250k per year. I emplor you to do your research prior to saying women go into fields such nursing that makes less than men. Its one of the most highest paying jobs - and you have to be a nurse to get there. I am in the finance field and I make less than men. Why?!

@luu🤎 that’s not accounting for a lot of such.

@Bay please do not take my word for the wage gap. Please take the word from statistics and what the government states about the wage gap. Even though I have worked in HR and finance and I have seen first hand the wage discrepancy. https://blog.dol.gov/2024/03/12/what-you-need-to-know-about-the-gender-wage-gap#:~:text=On%20average%2C%20women%20working%20full,full%2Dtime%20made%20in%202023.

@Bay please take me as a case study. Dive deep into my background. Or you can easily see - if a man and woman have the same titlee and work the same hours - they should get paid the same. I have enough peers review journals to back up what the government is stating. Please Show your research that wage gaps don't exist.

These are dangerous times for trans humans

@Bay that’s not true. You are just writing your opinion and not facts. Many women work their entire pregnancy and don’t get any accommodations. Research shows that women actually work harder and are more educated. But because of discrimination even a qualified woman will be passed up over an unqualified man. Same time with the average household having 1.2 children how do you feel work time during pregnancy accounts for anything ? At most that’s only 2 years but again most women work their whole pregnancies and studies should that. Society says woman are more nurturing… your just spewing false misogynistic nonsense

@Bay you say accounting for a lot as if woman are popping out babies every other year, majority of woman in the west don’t even have maternity leave and those that do the father does as well. There are more woman in the work force doing more work regardless of overtime or not regardless of having kids or not,
