Labour coming?

38+2 past few days I've had severe period like pains and the feeling of needing to poop. Through the night these have been more intense to the point i can't move or talk through them. Is labour progressing?

I’m seeing a few of us saying the same thing and in the same stage of pregnancy (I’m 38w 3d). My symptoms are the same, but then they slow down again. I’ve read it could be practice contractions.. but who knows 🥲🫣 let us know how you get along over the hours/days and if it ends up turning into labour xx

Start timing them... I was like that last Thursday from 5pm and he was here 2nd November lol

Never had this with my first, went in because I thought he was sat on a nerve in my back turned out I was in full blown labour and had him 2 hours later 🤣🤣 I'm so confused this time! 😭

Having the exact same thing as we speak and I’m 38+1! With my first I was induced so everything happened when I was in hospital so didn’t know what I should be feeling! Hope you’re okay! x

38+5 here! And came to write almost the same thing last two nights between like 1am-5am really tight bump and cramps - this is my first baby so no idea what to expect!

This is exactly what I had. So I started having period cramps on Friday and ended up giving birth on Saturday night

I'm 38+2 and having the same thing for the last couple of weeks - Not every night, though! I think last night was the worst though. I actually thought I was going to poop in the bed 🫣 I have had braxton hicks for a few months, but they've become painful at night like you describe. I had my first at 39wks after a sweep, so don't think I really got to this point. I've got a c section booked this time next week, so hoping it will hold off 🤞🏻

@Katie I didn't even experience braxton hicks with my first. Waters broke went in to be induced and I was already 5cm without even knowing I was in labour 🤣 hope everything goes well for you! Xx
