Induction experiences please!

I’ve just been booked for induction this Friday (eeeek) and I’ll be 38+2. I’d be really keen to hear anyone’s experiences of induction - the good, the bad and the ugly! Any tips or anything you feel you did to help induction be successful? Grateful for any advice, as a slightly anxious first time mama 😀

I’m in thr same boat being induced Thursday at 38 weeks! We’ve got this!!

Having been induced with my 1st and natural with my 2nd I would take induction over natural any day. Much quicker and more people around. I didn't like being put in a room with no TV or anything. I was induced and 6 hours later I had my baby.

Eat too much dates, drink raspberry leaf tea two cups a day or more, eat pineapple and walk, do curbside walk, I had mine last week it went great just be positive everything will be fine

Ive been induced with both my babies. First induction was textbook and couldnt of gone any better. 2 pessaries, waters popped, epidural and straight forward delivery. I requested an induction with this baby. As soon as pessary went in i started contracting. Had to have injections into my stomach as i was contracting too much but wasnt dilating at all. 2 days of contractions and i ended up having a c section. Baby boy then had breathing difficulties and ended up in special care. They said he just wasnt quite ready to come yet. In hindsight wish i never requested induction 2nd time around. I’ve got my induction Thursday as my sweep didn’t go to plan , I’ll be 39 weeks exact the Thursday coming x

I got induced on Saturday, had a pessary which didn’t work, then had the gel which caused contractions but again didn’t open the cervix, contractions have stopped and after monitoring the baby we’ve now decided on continuing with a c section tomorrow! Hope yours goes well x

I got induced on a Sunday, I was 38+5. I went to hospital at 8pm had the gel inserted at 11pm contractions started just after midnight and he was born at 3:49am. Such a positive experience and I was so scared beforehand! I also had a sweep on the Tuesday and Friday before x

I had a sweep on Monday nothings moving yet I’m booked in for an induction Friday with a balloon induction. I head induced with my first and had a horrible time starting to feel nervous for what’s to come if I’m honest x
