@Raven Los Angeles
I would say 100k because in my mind I'm thinking about the tiny cozy coffee shops in NYC. But I know LA is more expensive so IDK
According to Google anywhere between 80k-300k
@Violetađź’• but if its that much . You can make that back... Everyone drinks coffee - look at Starbucks.
@Raven for real. You can not go wrong with a coffee shop. There are so in my area new ones and existing ones and they're always packed. I need an investor.
$300,000 lol but in order to make it back you have to be really unique since there’s so many coffee shops so i say $300,000 to add things to it that make it truly stand out
If you’re actually serious about it but nervous about the costs you could look into potentially doing a coffee food truck that way you can work events and move around. Owning a coffee shop would literally be a dream for me. My sister and I love to visit local shops when we go on coffee trips lol we just dedicate a day to driving around and checking out local shops.
@quiddo so true and you don't even have to try that hard. There's always a demand.
@Maisey It's a long-term goal. Yes, it's so fun to visit coffee shops and you know people looove coffee lol. I've seen mobile coffee shops some folks are so creative and have the cutest little stand on wheels. I want a walk in dine in shop though.
@Violeta💕 if you do it you should make one with a kids play area so moms could meet there and hang out! I think that would make such good money. We don’t have anything like that and I wish we did because I have mom friends I’d love to hang out with and have a coffee with but my toddler will not sit still and behave so I’m not able to do that
@Maisey The play area is not a bad idea. I don't think I've seen any like that in my area either.
Partner with a bakery for baked goods, do not make them in house. Keeps costs down. Sell simple, but delicious sandwiches. A girl in my parents neighbourhood wrote a business proposal for her high school class and got full marks. Her mum helped her rent a storefront (as she was still under 18) and they just celebrated their 10th anniversary. Most stores in that stretch don't last 5. She also only hires high school and uni kids so they can get work experience and start building their resumes
My friend created a pop up coffee shop and looks like $50k in property and materials
