Scar reopen

Hi ladies looking for some advice here, the corner of my scar split a few days ago at first it was very small but it seems to be getting worse by the day, seems to be slowly reopening deeper it also seems to heal a little and reopen more with minor movements and it is extremely sore and painful. I am taking things as easy as I can but my partner is back in work and I have no frequent help or support so I have to do most things. Anyone else had something similar happen or know what I can do ? I have text my community midwife to come and check it over, I rang triage when it first split and they said as long as I feel fine in myself I'll be okay but I'm starting to get concerned with the fact it seems to be getting worse every day.

First YOU KNOW your body no ones else and if you feel it is a concern let it be known to your provider push for them to take a look cause you need to put your health first you have a bby to take care of mama I had the same issue and I ignored it and now I am almost 19 months post partum and still get some pain from where mine opened plz make your voice heard 🫶🏼

@Jovana did you have any stitches exposed when yours reopened? I'm unsure if they are my internal stitches that are currently exposed and I am slightly scared of infection risk. I will be continuously messaging my community midwife until she comes and takes a look x

@Jorja honestly I am not sure I just remember bleeding and bandaging it and keeping it dry but DONT do what I did cause I still get pain with certain movements I am gonna probably get it checked out soon cause it’s been bothering a bit more lately

My scar reopened and I booked a Dr apt just to get checked for infection. They were thorough in their check and redressed it for me to help it heal, they also saw me a week later to redress. You know how you feel, going to the Dr really gave me peace of mind
