I had to go to glangwilli because they werenât happy for me to have my 99th percentile babies in withybushâs midwife led. I have had two completely different experiences there. First a 32 hour, stuck on my back which Iâm convinced didnât help with the progression, ending in a forcep delivery and partner having to go home within the hour because of how late it was and I was suddenly stuck in a room on my own with baby still feeling the effects of the spinal block. Not the experience I wanted but that was mainly because of decisions made by the consultants because the baby was big, the midwifeâs were lovely. They werenât so worried when my second was big too and they allowed me to have my 41 minutes of active water birth and it was a lot nicer experience. Had a lovely midwife and student and I was home the same day. The staff are lovely and are so helpful. My childbirth experiences at glangwilli are a lot better than my recent thyroid surgery there, thatâs for sure.
Thank you both for your experiences. Ive had both my girls in singleton but I'm now being moved to glangwilli to have my baby boy xxx
I had my first in glangwilli after a long 36hrs in labour needed emergency c section delivery, as I was exhausted and tried all aspected to help labour progress, and natural birth but meconium in waters meant in the end a cut off point and needed c section. Couldnât fault them there, all the staff were fantastic, also then went back this year to have my second baby, and again staff were brilliant, and made the second time more relaxing, with dinner lighting in room, was able to get up and walk around more even after starting the drip after induction, and use birthing ball both consultant led care along side community midwife care during pregnancy. Second time round was a little different, got to 6cm dilated and then baby started showing signs of distress so swiftly and calmly prepared me and got us into theatre within 30mins to deliver baby by c section. in my opinion I canât fault the staff and the after care received both times. If decide to have another baby id go back there
I had my 3rd there 7 weeks ago. I was induced and it was lovely there. The room I was given was relaxing, the staff were nice. I had a few complications and the staff were very quick to respond and informative.
I had an emergency c section there in October, I canât praise the triage, surgical & midwifery teams enough! They were amazing, my waters broke at 37+ 3 with my breach baby and they were amazing!
I had all 3 of mine in Glangwili. 2 naturals and a section. No problems. :)
Awful experience, put me off completely having another baby. Was ignored the whole time I spent in hospital when I was asking for help. Had sepsis that went undetected for days as they left me by myself

I had my first in glangwilli and I would 100% go again. They are all so lovely there! I requested a student to deliver the baby and she did an incredible job stitching me up! I healed incredibly fast! As well as being looked after, I wanted a redbull after having the baby and one of them went to the shop for međâ¤ď¸
