When to call?

At what point do you call the midwife because you think you’re in labour but have no idea? My mum (and yes I know I could be completely different) didn’t lose her mucus plug, and had to have her waters broken in hospital as all she had to show I was on the way was pains, tightenings and backache, after her waters were broken I came 2 hours later!! But I have the exact same now for a good 24 hours also, back is killing me, tummy is constantly tightening and painful, but nothing is consistent and regular, plus no mucus plug. Do I just asked to be assessed, even just to put my mind at ease if it’s nothing? I hate the not knowing and also not wanting to be a burden 🙈

I think you should call and get it checked, that’s peace of mind for yourself aswell :). They will always be happy to check no matter what or how many times.

When I gave birth few days ago I was the same, no plug, no waters just achy back & tightening. Have you tried timing them? I was 6cm when I went in to hospital so I would ring x

The general rule is contractions lasting a minute every 5-4 minutes apart but if you feel like you need to be seen then ring them
