Painful sex postpartum

I’m 6 months postpartum and have had sex like 2 times… I have heard with breastfeeding your libido is lower but dang I have no desire whatsoever! I am exclusively breastfeeding. I have the most patient and understanding man ever, he hasn’t pressured me or even said anything about waiting this long either. The two times we did were uncomfortable and I was tense and couldn’t enjoy it. Can anyone tell me what has helped their libido increase and what helped them relax or improve sex life postpartum? Also my body is different and I have stretch marks on my breast from engorging and I feel kinda blah 😒

I know you can be “dry” down there after having a baby. Have you tried lube? For me that helped so it wasn’t super painful.

I wish my libido was low 🥲 I know how you feel about the stretch marks tho 😭

Try some natural lube or try oral sex before to increase wetness. My partner notices that helps get things going better

Just hear for support and to see what other people suggest. This is exactly how my experience has been thus far.

It probably isn’t that helpful but I’ve always had painful sex. I’m just a super dry person probably because I have cystic fibrosis.

6 months and haven’t even had sex since I was 4 months prego 🥴 I’m so self conscious about my stretch marks and the desire just ain’t there. I know it’s gonna hurt since it’s been so long 🥲

My doctor prescribed vaginal cream to help with dryness. I had a c section and also have a lot of pain. The cream has definitely helped. Someone else recommended vaginal dilators as well but I haven’t tried those yet

Pelvic floor specialist. The muscles could have seized up. They'll give you stretches and hopefully things will be more comfortable.

Hello, I was like this with my first, but Since having my little guy in May. It’s been polar opposite. With my first My husband told me to use my “Friend” from the bedside drawer and handle my business and see what I felt after a few days. I did it once and it’s like it reminded my body how good things could feel and I immediately the next night felt my libido come back.
