Baby wearing post c-section

For those of you who had c-sections, are you carrying your baby in a sling or baby carrier? If so, did you wait 6 weeks until you had clearance or were you able to do it earlier? I’m 3 weeks pp and want to start carrying my baby so I can do more things around the house but scared that will put pressure on my wound / interrupt or slown down the healing process. Grateful for your thoughts. Thanks! 🤗

I’m also three weeks pp and started wearing him for longer stretches yesterday. Not sure if will do any damage but my rule is if I feel any pressure or uncomfortableness I take him off, we did I’d say 90 minutes yesterday and it was alright… no issues.

@Nthabiseng that’s good to know, thanks!!

I use baby Bjorn newborn carrier and have done since about a week post section. The design of those carriers is so that baby weight is spread evenly and mainly across upper back, so it shouldn't put too much strain on your core / section wound. I've found it absolutely fine :).

I’ve been carrying my little girl since 1 week post c section. As long as it feels comfortable for you then start as soon as you want.

@Jess that’s good to know. I have the Seraphine Carripod and haven’t really tried it yet but I’ll see if it works

@Michaela great! I’ll give it a try then 🤗 thanks!

With my first about 2 weeks postpartum I felt okay to do it. The was carrier was on my chest and not near my incision and he didn’t reach it till he was much older/bigger x

I used the bjorn carrier 1 week after c section and no problems at all 😄❤️ it’s worked well
