Date has been set for C section

Had appt today, and C section date, has been set! Although I’ve been warned babies could come at any point now so to be prepared. Eeek, now starting to sound and feel very real (& scary). Has anyone else had their C section dates set..?

Booked for 2nd section on 28 Dec

No but I desperately want to know!! I’ve been told it won’t be booked until early Dec but I have a consultant appointment next week and gonna beg them to book it! I need to know the end date of this hellish pregnancy 😅 how are you feeling about it? Xx

Yes booked for the 30th December and due date is 4th January. We got booked in at 32 weeks appointment but since I have developed gestational diabetes and on medication so they will probably bring the appt sooner when at appointment tomorrow

Booked for 3rd c section 17th Jan

@Laura I’m part excited as intrigued to meet the little people (twins) that have been kicking & jumping up & down on my bladder @ 3am in the morning. Also, I have had enough of waddling & having a sore ‘hoohaa’ due to pressure. Flip side though, I am scared as it’s a huge procedure, & I have everything crossed that it’ll go ok.

You will be fine I'm on my 3rd c section and it's not so bad just the recovery takes longer but they will be out before you know it xx

Aw yeah same here! It’s the fear of the unknown! Have you had a look on YouTube at videos? I’ve looked at ones that UK hospitals have made specifically for elective sections and it goes through it thoroughly about what to expect, some are real women and some are actors but it helped put my mind at ease xx

Im due on the 11th and could have had either 3rd or 6th. Went for the 6th, purely because my oldest will be at school and my youngest at nursery. On friday 3rd i have no childcare 😅 Sorry baby boy number 3, you have to do what is convenient for your big brothers 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Natalie I’m trying to think positively about the whole thing. But blimey…it’s nerve wracking. 🥴

@Laura Yes, I had a look @ my local hospital, and it walks you through the electrics C Section process which is helpful. I just think I need to do some mindfulness to put my mind at ease and to keep it calm.
