@emily Thank you! X
I was at Princess Royal with my daughter and they were amzong and also their again for my second pregnancy x
Went to Princess Royal as I heard so many bad things about East Surrey. It was amazing! All the staff were so kind and helpful
I think every hospital has it advantages and disadvantages. Never been to haywards heath hospital, only east Surrey they are alright… it depends WHO you have . Very few takes you serious and the rest just dont care and turn u away.
I’ve had both my girls at East Surrey, they were absolutely amazing xx
@Heshna heshna no way!!!! x
@emily hey theree!😆xx
We chose haywards heath because the reviews we heard from east Surrey were awful. So far Hayward’s heath have been amazing, staff are friendly and have gone above and beyond to help. Really happy with our choice
I’ve had an absolutely amazing experience at east Surrey so far (34 weeks)
I have had a baby at both of these hospitals, and I’d definitely recommend Princess Royal over East Surrey!!
I had an emergency C-section at east Surrey with my first and the care and after care from the midwives was amazing. Second time round i had a water birth and again top tier midwives I had in the birthing unit, sadly the care in the burstow feeding unit I had when I had to stay in a day cause baby wouldn’t feed was rubbish. But I couldn’t have wished for better midwives during delivery!
I chose ES, not sure if I would choose them again. They’re delivery staff are amazing but post delivery were absolutely awful x
We’ve gone with Haywards Heath because my partner has visited A&E at East Surrey far too often with high blood pressure, so we wanted a hospital that didn’t have those connotations! I’ve heard great things about both hospitals, but here’s a hot/different take if you’re interested - the parking! Princess Royal has pay and display parking and i think East Surrey has machines that you pay into when you leave, so when it comes to actually giving birth, you don’t have to worry about how much time you’ll need to parking. Different take, but just something I was thinking about when I was at Princess Royal getting my RSV this week 😂
I had home birth with east Surrey and they were brilliant team who looked after me from 25-28 weeks. However, at one baby movement reduce time when we went east Surrey our experience wasn’t pleasant because they made us wait for 3 bours extra minus 2 hours which was monitoring us . Prior to that even I had heard bad experiences from east Surrey from ladies here

I’ve heard amazing things about Hayward’s Heath, but never been myself. I’ve had both mine at ES, one was 11 years ago and cannot remember it tbh. Most recent experience was really good whilst I was pregnant, pre labour and when I had an emergency caesarean. But aftercare was a bit rubbish and felt that we were ignored for two days and we had to keep following up for anything (pain relief, help, our baby’s checks or being discharged) With regards to parking at ES we told the staff our car reg and then they entered it on their system and we didn’t have to pay for the 4 days we were there, which was a bonus!
We chose Princess Royal over ES because we'd heard not great things. Plus my dad being a paramedic advised us to stay away from ES Had my first at PRH in HH and had a planned C-section due to breech baby and had an amazing experience about to have my second in HH (in 2 weeks) and the hospital have been outstanding
Princess Royal! Had my first there, having my second there even though its out of my area!
I had my son at East Surrey and the delivery staff/department were amazing but the post delivery department/staff were a massive let down. My little boy was in ICU and from my experience I don’t think they take into consideration of women who aren’t with their babies and how hard it is being on a department with other women and their babies. I also found the staff didn’t seem to care and left you alone and it was an inconvenience if you tried asking for help - I had an emergency C-section so was limited what I could do and I wasn’t allowed to walk to ICU to see my son and would have to wait for someone to take me which they always seemed annoyed when I asked which wasn’t too often as my husband was with me most of the time. Personally I think I’ll be going to Haywards Heath if I have another baby as I’ve heard such good things and my experience at East Surrey started off great but the end was poor.
haven’t been to haywards heath but my experience at east surrey was amazing
