Yoga Poses

Hi! I am 14 months pp and as big as I was the day I gave birth. I am still breastfeeding a lot so I know that has played a role into me not being able to lose weight. I have struggled a lot with my weight since my daughter started getting older because I felt like I should’ve lost it by now and none of my clothes fit (even some pregnancy ones). I hate sucking in so much and looking pregnant when I’m not. I can’t do anything that will get my heart rate too high because I have exercised induced migraines and I am working on trying to eat better. I also can’t really go on walks because I have sciatica in my back if I’m walking too long. I could really use some help! Thank you if you made it this far! I wanted to come and get some advice on yoga poses or light exercises that I could do to help strengthen my core and lose some of this mom pooch. I’d like to lose 20-30lbs before we start trying for baby #2 next summer (I know that might not be realistic but anything helps)

You tube : pregnancy & postpartum TV! So many yoga z& great exercises for us mommas 🥰

Look into Nancy Anderson’s “ab rehab” program! It’s not just for c-section mamas and can help tighten and tone your midsection and improves pelvic floor function at the same time! Very low-impact, program that can be modified as needed - and doesn’t require much in terms of equipment (you can always sub with what you have around the house if you don’t have something)

I use an app that I get my workout from and also keeps tracks of my meals and steps. The best part is that I don't do it alone. There is an entire community full of support. I have a link for a 7day free trial. If you're interested message me and I'll be happy to help

I’m in the same boat, I am probably bigger then I was when I gave birth. It’s like my whole pregnant belly went into my hips lol. I’ve been able to make some progress doing Pilates as it focuses on your pelvic floor and core strength. It’s also kind of similar to yoga you should check it out :)

Thank you guys!! @Rachael me too! I weigh more than the day I gave birth🥴 it all on my lower stomach which is just so hard trying to dress like I’m not pregnant🙃

Same, I am doing yoga everyday, very low impact…

@Alexis I second the pregnancy.and.pp tv!! I followed her during pregnancy and after also for my daily 30 min exercise..I had to coz of GD and she's great.
