Reduced movement

Maybe I just slept so well I’ve not noticed but usually baby is very active during the night and I can’t remember waking up at all (which was lovely as I also have a 9 month old who hadn’t been sleeping) however now I’m sat here poking my belly but can’t feel anything 😕 How long would you wait before calling triage? I just feel as soon as I got there she will start moving 🤦🏽‍♀️ I also have no one to have my baby so would she be able to come with me?

I’d recommend eating something and have a sugary, cold drink or even something sugary to eat. If you don’t feel baby within an hour then I’d give them a call. It’s hard because if you’ve slept all night you’ve been exhausted and just your body has needed that sleep. If you’d prefer to just call right away then of course do that! But they normally say try stuff before especially if it’s been an over night thing x

Yeh I’ve just tried a sugary tea so will see maybe she needed a good sleep too. I had an upset tummy last night so I think I was just exhausted and LO has been fighting sleep but once she was gone so was I. Usually I wake up so many times 1 because that’s when baby tends to think she’s a gymnast and 2 my 9 month old just hasn’t been sleeping but I can’t remember waking up once. Thank you for the advice will give it a little bit longer xx

How's it going? Has she given any little kicks yet?

Baby was probably feeling effects of you feeling poorly too. I totally get it, my daughter isn’t sleeping great atm either. Hopefully you’re feeling rested atleast 🤞🏼 have you felt baby move yet? Xx

I have a friend wo described the exact scenario you did, baby moving as soon as the scan was about to start 😅 personally, I would give them a ring about your worries and then take the steps as instructed (probably sugary food and a walk?)

Baby must of felt how exhausted you are try having a chocolate bar my baby always has a disco in there when I eat sugary food

If you are worried, there's no harm in calling ☺️ I didn't feel my baby move as much yesterday so rang and they asked me to go in.. and as soon as I was wired up to their monitors she was the most active she'd been all day!

Always ring if you are worried. That’s what they are there for regardless of whether she moves as soon as you get there! Never time wasting But to try at home I do sitting quietly, cold drink, sugary food or something maybe even flash light the phone on your belly and some music and then see xx

Tbf I’m still not feeling great and I keep getting a bubbling feeling but not the kicks I have been getting. I think I’m still going to give them a call as she has been a very active baby but it’s probably she’s changed position or something but I guess it’s best to get checked. Literally keep walking up and down the stairs as I read walking can help 🙈 had a lovely sleep still tired probably too good a sleep when not used to it 🙈 xx

I would call up and ask for advice - I know in my hospital it’s absolutely no children can be brought in any circumstance

Tbf when I had a big bleed beginning of the pregnancy I had to take my LO and they were really good it’s just been the scans they were strict with which was understandable. She said as soon as we’re ready to pop down there and that it was ok to bring her she will be due a nap in an hour so hopefully she will just sleep 🤞🏽 . She said they’ll check for heartbeat first before they check anything else. I have just told my husband and he said he’s going to come home he’s working 2 hours away and I didn’t really want him coming home if she’s just being a bit lazy 🙈

I’m glad you’re going to get checked out. You tried the home stuff and it’s not gotten any better so you’re always better to get checked out. Even if you go in and baby goes mad, least you’ve had it checked. It also stays on your record and will help further down the line if this continues as will show pattern etc. Update us once you’ve been 🤞🏼 x

As predicted driving there she obviously wakes up and starts kicking me in my lower belly/pelvis causing lightening crotch and the feeling she’s about to fall out 🫣 the joys of pregnancy 🫣

That’s amazing to hear 😃 I feel like sometime babies do it on purpose to scare us I know my baby does 😂😂

It’s honestly the best rollercoaster I’ve ever been on 😅
