Woke

Being woke means calling out someone creepy who gets off on treating you in abusive ways

What’s that got to do with being woke?

Not connected at all

Isn’t being “woke” being aware of systemic racism and injustice?

I think being woke is just like someone who thinks for themselves and doesn’t follow the crowd just cause

Being woke is like the opposite of those who live their lives on auto pilot or “coasting” through life

When you're not woke, you have peculiar ideas of others e.g. that someone of colour shouldn't be in a position of leadership. So, as a person of colour, when you go for interview/put yourself up for promotion, and you're in discussion with someone who is doing lots of shapeshifting to hold you back from achieving any of that, that's creepy and not woke. The lack of positive regard for you but lots of it is there for others. Creepy and not woke. Making the decision to withhold positive regard based on someone's colour. Creepy, not woke.

Calling someone woke means they are concerned of social injustice and discrimination. For example a lot of the older population think Millenials and Gen Z are becoming a “woke society”.

I think creepy is the wrong word here. It doesn’t fit quite right. I think I know what you’re trying to say but you worded it a little funky.
