2 x positive inductions here 🤗 First was long but I still view it positively. Went in on Thursday, pessary did not start contractions and no midwives or rooms to progress things until Saturday. Went on the hormone drip around 10am, took a while of messing with the drip to get contractions right (too fast, too slow) which wasn’t pleasant but after that smooth sailing and he was born early hours Sunday morning. Gas & air for pain relief, no interventions. 6 weeks ago had a balloon induction. Inserted at 11am, regular contractions by 1:30pm, 8cm/waters broke at 5pm and he was out shortly after and in 3 pushes! No interventions. Take plenty of snacks and things to do in case it takes a while. I made sure all happy stuff too to keep oxytocin flowing 🥰 I was looking forward to the chill/catching up on tv this time round and didn’t get a chance 😂 Good luck!

Sorry I just reread and saw you asked for dilapan stories which neither of mine are 🤦🏾‍♀️ but still 2 different types of induction so hopefully adds something 😅

Same 2 positive inductions

Had the dilapan - got me to 2cm dilated with some mild contractions. Now been waiting for a bed so they can break my waters. Not much looking forward to that!

@Emma hope all went ok 🤗

Well dilapan started Friday morning, and he was born today! So didn’t really go to plan. Ended up 8cm after 2 lots of hormone medication, but heart rate kept dropping and I went a bit wild and was progressing super fast. Ended up in an emergency c section and cord was round his neck. So grateful for the nhs for saving us 💙
