Possible waters breaking

Is it possible for your waters to leak before you've lost your mucus plug? The last hour I've had a fairly continuous trickle feeling. Sat on my ball and noticed a wet spot appearing on it. 39+5 so expecting baby any day. No other signs, definitely not pee.

@Kirstie @Sophie do I wait for contractions to start? I take it as it's not a full on gush I'm in no hurry to get baby out. Have a sweep in the morning so can say to the midwife then? Put a pad on and in 30 mins it was only damp not wet.

For me, my waters broke gradually over a period of weeks

if you go to your sweep today your midwife may be able to pop your waters for you🥰xx
