Natural birth after a c section

I am not pregnant or don’t plan on becoming pregnant soon but I had a cat 2 emergency section 8 weeks ago. This was due to a few reasons 1 my waters had been leaking for nearly 48 hours at the point of delivery. When my waters were broke by midwife they found meconium in my waters and after the hormone drip for 12 hours I was still only 1-2 cm dilated. That being said cervix had done everything it needed to do other than the dilation my cervix was perfect for birth. Of course the issue we had was I couldn’t dilate. My partner and 1 have decided we want a 2-3 year gap between our children but I’m terrified about it. Throughout my whole pregnancy I was high risk and told under no circumstances do I have a c section unless an absolute medical emergency. Luckily I had a really good c section with no really implications or problems that was thought that could happen the only thing was I had lost about250-300ml more blood than they would have liked but other than that it was a very straight forward section. Which I am grateful for a there was so much fear put onto me about having one but in actual fact there were no problems that affected the concerns to begin with. That being said I know each and every section is different and even the same person could have one good section and the next time things go wrong. Has anyone had a natural birth after a c section and if so how was it. I’m scared to have another baby because I’m scared I’ll be encouraged to have an elective section due to the issues in my first pregnancy. I want to experience a natural birth. But due to my body failing me on my daughter I’m scared to have another section incase the concerns and worries they had happen if I had another child. Looking for all advice and story good and bad when it come to natural after a section or multiple sections.

I had failed induction and csection under general anesthetic they tested my baby and he was in too much distress they rushed me off and put me to sleep, it wasn't nice and my baby was poorly but I went on to have another I refused induction and opted for a elective my elective was amazing I loved it after having one where I wasn't awake I loved every minute recovery wasn't bad either times but my second was good except I had retained placenta that needed surgery by time they did it that was 18 days post csection. I'm now pregnant with my 3rd and having another planned csection

@Laura I’m so glad you had such a positive birth experience with your second baby after what sounded like a scary first delivery. Because I have had a section and it didn’t affect my health conditions this time I’m more open to it if I was lucky enough to have another but at the same time because my consultants were so against a section I’m worried to have another incase their worries were correct and what they were worried for happened. As I’m aware the same person can have different experiences each type they have a section. My minds all over the place but I can’t stop thinking about it all even though it’s not in the cards for us anytime soon x

Depending on the health condition sometimes you can be referred for a pre pregnancy consultation I know with my diabetes they can offer them I only found out now tho after falling pregnant on the pill, but it might be something to ask about and see if you can speak to them regarding your concerns before you even think about trying x

@Laura thank you so much for this info I might see if I can look into this. Do you know how I go about it or who to contact
