I agree with the above comment! Reduced movement is normal so close to your due date, baby could most definitely be fine and just in position ready to get going when the time comes. Definitely still get checked if you’re worried and it’s significantly less movement than normal! Speak up for yourself and what your want/needs are mamas, you got this ❤️ and if you wrote out a birth plan make sure you have someone with you who can advocate for that just in case as well if, for some reason, you can’t. Good luck lovely! 🫶🏻
I just want to say it’s not normal to have reduced movements towards the end of your pregnancy at all. My baby’s movements got less and less and they suspected an issue with my placenta in the end. It’s a myth they ‘run out of room’. I know you said you’re still going to go but honestly it’s so important. I was told every single time it’s not normal and while movements change they do not slow down nor do they get less. One look In an NHS hospital in the maternity unit and you will see posters saying this too. No midwife will tell you they run out of room either unless they were trained decades ago. Hope all is well with you. They may offer an induction but that doesn’t mean that you absolutely have to take it, you need to have a look at th risks of both. Xx
Please don't be scared & go get checked out especially if you think something would be wrong. With my 1st I had reduced movements I went in with spotting & turned out I had placenta abruption they tried to fob me off but I put my foot down and I was rushed into theatre they told me if I hadn't of gone in he wouldn't of survived. I've been induced twice they were both OK. Please go get checked I know it's painful but its soon over and done with & God forbid anything happened you would never forgive yourself x 🙏
I don’t think anyone on here will be qualified to give you an answer on that. You will need to be seen so they can run their tests. Baby may be absolutely fine - they can slow down a little at the end of pregnancy when they have less room (but obviously you should still go in asap). I know the idea of an induction is scary after your first - but at the end of the day babies safety is first right. Make sure to advocate for yourself and ask for the pain relief you want and need.
