C section smell? Redness? Infected?

I am 8 weeks pp from emergency c section, my scar is quite red and can get a smell from it even though I wash and dry it daily. It has already been infected at about 4 weeks pp and was cleared with anti-biotics. At my 6 week check up the doctor said my scar was fine and healed but I am getting stinging , redness and smell coming from it when I lift up my overhang. Any advice?🙏🏼

Yes it's most likely infected i would contact your dr

I agree with Victoria but in the mean time put some gauze or something dry in your fold to help keep it dry. The moisture is really bad for wound healing

Is it wet when you wipe it?

Sounds like a little infection from being moist - Dr will prescribe you a cream that’ll clear it straight up so try not to worry, it’s likely the skin around your scar rather than the incision itself! In the meantime, air it lots and keep it dry - my midwife recommended putting a maternity pad over it, ticked I to your knickers, to keep it dry - I hid worked and added a bit of cushioning too. Hope it clears up quickly x

Same here but mine is opening again You can put some gauze an use neosporin and give it some air probably ir will help

It’s the skin from the overhang rubbing rather than your scar- mine was so bad. Air it out with either a pad like above or hairdryer on low cool

Try using those scar patches on it for a while so nothing rubs against it and heals with the pad
