Breaking waters
Hey, I’m already 3cm but haven’t been checked since yesterday at 12pm I came in at 9am to have my waters broke due to issues and I’m still waiting now I’ve been in 2nd for the whole night. I know everything is unexpected but how long will they wait because I’m not sure how much longer I can spend in hospital. The food is unbearable and everything is so expensive.

Are you being induced for medical reasons? Unless you're high risk for one reason or another I read on the NHS website you can labour at home once you've had the pessary/gel if you want to
Yeah I’m being induced for medical reasons. They won’t let me home tho so have to stay here until he’s here xx
I spoke to the doctors I’m next in the queue but god knows how long that will take xx

This is basically my situation too - been 3cm since yesterday afternoon and can’t have my waters broken because there are no beds on labour ward! So frustrating 😅 doesn’t seem like there’s any risk as such so I think they just leave it as long as they have to, to make sure you’ll be safe with 1:1 care once they have broken them! The waiting is super hard x
