Yeah you should be fine if you have a balanced diet. However I would highly recommend taking them, find tablets that don’t make you sick or maybe try prenatal gummies. None of us have a perfect diet, and with being pregnant you will need extra or more vitamins than normal.
Gummies are much easier on tje stomach. I recommend finding some Vitamin D gummies and prenatal gummies. They don't contain iron but do contain vital nutrients like folic acid.
@Tara she will still need iron, it’s very common to become anemic or have low iron during pregnancy.
@Incognito in a perfect world, she would take a fullsome vitamin that has everything...but if she can't keep that down, then she should at least get in what she can. Iron is usually the #1 culprit for the nausea. I only have gummies because I can't stomach the iron and even so, my midwife says I have the iron levels of a train rail. There are dietary sources she can make use of instead.
@Tara She can get liquid iron, and put that in a juice
I take my vitamins at night. Then they don’t make me sick 😊 I have the pregnecare multivitamin which has everything you need and more and extra folic acid. Been doing this since 4 weeks and I’m now 21. Xx
I’ve hardly taken mine since around 12 weeks too as with a toddler I just don’t remember 🤦🏻♀️ baby has been fine at every scan xx
