Morning sickness

Hi mommas. I’m currently 9 weeks pregnant, and have a 7 month old (cry with me😭🤣). I’ve got hectic morning sickness (lasts all day though). I have zero energy, I hardly eat as I will eventually vomit. I am not motivated at all, I just feel like days are just passing by and I can’t get myself to do anything, apart from taking care of my baby, which I do. I just really really feel terrible. What kept you guys going with morning sickness and just the overall feeling of unmotivated? Any advice is appreciated.

Anti nausea medication really helped me, same as lemon / lemon oil helped with nausea. Are you able to eat smaller more frequent meals to help offset upsetting your stomach? I found I could only really keep down certain foods so I tried to stick to them. Curl up on the couch if you can, after creating a baby safe zone for your 7 month old on in the lounge room for days it’s really bad. Yours and your babies health should come first always, the chores will still be there tomorrow and it’s okay to rest (because even when resting right now your body is still creating life!) You’re doing an amazing job 💕

Thank you so much Chantelle! I really appreciate it. I do have anti nausea medication, and they worked for me with my first, but now I’m not too sure why they seem to not work as well, or maybe it’s too soon. I noticed I’m able to keep some fruit in, and I try supplement with the Ensure shake, so as per your advice, I’ll try see which other foods are good for me, and I’ll also try the lemon. I’ll take it easy, thank you so much momma ❤️…

So long as you are able to keep some food down you’ll be okay :) just make sure to drink plenty of fluids so you don’t become dehydrated, maybe speak to your doctor/midwife and see if you can try a different anti sickness? I imagine it’s twice as hard since you have a 7 month old as well ! Being pregnant and a mother are the hardest jobs in the world, you are doing amazing, just try to stay positive and hopefully the sickness will subsides soon (ginger is good for sickness and worked really well for me, I just used to nibble on ginger cookies 🤣) :)
