@Dana thank you, I always feel silly ringing the Mac unit for little pains but I will give them a call x
I get some pain in my lower stomach it’s apparently because at this time your womb is growing quite fast and big so it’s normal. My midwife said I can take paracetamol if it hurts but if your in extreme pain the. Ring triage or go hospital
I agree if it’s painful and paracetamol does not make it better I’d give a call , x
@Roni Yeah I’m not in extreme pain or anything it just keeps coming and going and it worries me more than anything but it’s not like an extreme pain x
@Charlotte more than likely it’s round ligament pain then if it’s on and off it should get better over time
@Roni Does it sound like anything serious do you think?
@Dana I have had some paracetamol and the pain still on and off but it’s not like any extreme pain or anything I just worry if it’s something serious x
@Charlotte not to me but if your worried give your midwife a ring like Dana mentioned or ring your triage x
Is the pain in the lower stomach like a pulling/aching feeling. That’s the best way I can describe round ligament pain. I have also experienced some rib pain but few and far between. Please if you are ever worried call your triage or midwife ❤️ stress won’t help you and if all you need is some reassurance they are the best people to give it ❤️. Try and go toilet and change positions in bed to relieve the pain whilst waiting for your midwife to reply. I hope it helps. My round ligament pain was such a shock 😂 I was like “ouch why is it so stretchy feeling”
@Natasha yeah so it’s in the lower abdomen, the only way I can describe the pain is like a urine infection if you’ve ever had one? I rang Mac and the lady said it could be round ligament pain but it doesn’t really hurt it’s bearable pain it’s just worrying because I don’t know what it is if that makes sense🩷
Sounds like everything is stretching and growing x
I’d give a call to midwife early unit. No harm in asking and giving them your symptoms, x
