@mabes ok I will try that, but she keeps saying she doesn’t want too poop in the potty when I do catch her and often times she will hold it then wait until she can do it in her pants again
@Yasmina do you have a small potty for her to use? Also, how long have you been trying? I potty trained my son starting at the beginning of June and it wasn’t until about mid July that he was consistently pooping in his little potty. It took us a lot of time!!!! We are also not using the big potty yet and it’s been able 6 months and he still prefers his little potty.
@Celeste yes she does love to pee in her small potty, she calls it the toy potty lol but when it comes to poop she just keeps saying she doesn’t want to and I’m not sure why since she isn’t constipated…I’m thinking that because poop takes longer maybe she doesn’t want to put in the time and pooping in pants is convenient and comfortable to her
@Celeste ok yes I would have my LO say bye bye ka ka 💩 as she flushes the toilet but I will try the books too
Yes, I’d take the poop from my sons underwear, put it in the potty (the best I could) and remind him that this is where his poop goes. Then we’d say goodbye! lol.
@Celeste yes I have done that too …what do you think could be the issue then?
@Celeste since May…she resisted peeing in the potty real bad at first…then after couple of months she just started going on her own and now no more pee accidents…at first I thought she was constipated but she was holding her poop sometimes for 2 days and then a huge 💩 bm but now she is going more regular since eating more fruit …but each time she sneaks and hides it…also she will go to bed with a poopy butt and not tell me but has np pee before bed…I told her poop is good in the potty and that it stinks so it goes in the potty…but she still doesn’t want too poop in potty…then I just bought her a whole new set of clothes for fall and winter and it if didn’t put a booster pad in her panties that new outfit would have had to trash 😩 cuz sometimes it’s so much poop I can’t clean it, the panties just bought too and those had to trash even with the booster pad 😫 idk if my lo just wants a power struggle or what…I’ve tried everything
It’s probably fear. Once she poops in the potty she’ll learn it’s not scary. Have you done a 3-4days naked? That helped us and we watched Daniel tigers potty song. We have a Yoto, so I made him a potty time playlist.

We read lots and lots of book specifically about pooping in the potty. I had visuals in the bathrooms of where poop belonged. We talked about it pretty often and needed reminders. We also had large rewards he could earn when he pooped in the potty. I put visuals on the rewards to help encourage!
