I might get judged for this but I used a backpack leash.

@s a r a 🥀 how old is ur kiddy ? Who ever judges that is silly, it's better you child safe x

My son was really bad for this, we tried a backpack leash but it didn’t work for us it might be worth a try for you though? We just did a lot of repetitive “hand on the car” or “hold mummy’s hand” and eventually it stuck, I think what helped the most was when I had the baby and he wanted to help push the pram so he learned to stand and wait with his hands on the pram bar

Deffo get reins My little boy was the same until recently (3 next month) And I was heavily pregnant running after him He would bolt out of nowhere sometimes And yes to stroller too! We got a double buggy off marketplace in the end

@Laura my son is 5 years old now . But when he was around 2, is when I used it. Because he started to be a runner . We went out to an aquarium one time, we got that look/stare judgments. It’s not fun for kids if they’re gonna be strapped in the stroller the whole time. We used the backpack leash and let him roam but with the backpack leash he was also within our reach/close to us.

I saw once a mom doing a game. "1,2,3 FROZEN" and the kid have to stop moving completely. And whenever she needs the kid to stop moving she scream "FROZEN" and it works because the kid think it's a game. I think I gonna try that whenever needed (my baby is still too young)

Mines 2 and will hold a hand when outside. If in the shop I let him run round a bit but if I tell him to wait for me he will. It was a trial and error process but eventually he learnt x

My girl almost 3 is a bloody flight risk as well. We’ve got a wrist band that goes round both our hands so we are tied together which we use or reins. And we still take the buggy as she does still get tired walking around x

Reins!
