So there’s diff stages! My dr told me when they first start it’s longer because they’re moving up from the jaw into the gum and it’s super uncomfortable. That’s when they get really dribble to begin with! That can take weeks/months unfortunately. My LOvstarted teething at 8/9 weeks. She had her first tooth finally cut through last week and the second a few days ago! But that in itself took a week or so of crying constantly and dribble and chewing. Once you start to see the white nub move to the gum you’re towards the finish line, and then when you see a little slit or dark splodge /dot on the gum that’s when it’s about to erupt. My girl had the slit in her gum for almost 2 days, it was the WORST stage. She wa screaming and crying and one morning the little tooth was out and she was absolutely fine!
I heard green onions is good for inflammation so I give my daughter that so she can chew and rub on the gums. Also those chew toys that you can freeze seem to really be her favorite.
Also we got our LO one of those weaning dummies you can put food in and put breast milk in it. Let it freeze but only to a slushie consistency (too frozen will damage the gums) and it REALLY helped! Not sure if you can do the same with formula or not if that’s how you feed so worth asking advice on that!
My little girl was teething on and off from about 4 months but didn’t get her first teeth until 8 months! I give her calpol for when it’s really bad, or use cold teething toys/teething powder x
My girlie is 5 months old. First tooth cut through about 10 days ago, second tooth about 4 days ago. She had been drooly and chewing on everything but up until today she has coped very well. She has done nothing but cried and moaned since the morning today so I ended up giving her first dose of Calpol. And 10 mins later she is asleep.
@Francheska okay fingers crossed, she’s 4.5 months now so hopefully out by next month, I can see the white nubs she’s got two coming at the same time 😫
it comes in phases but essentially doesn’t end until all teeth are in 😩
My daughter started at 2 months we are a week away from 5 months and no teeth yet
Really depends but it’s not the 8 day google says it is lol. I can’t see my sons yet but he’s knawing on my nips and they can certainly feel them.
