frequency of movements

How frequently are you feeling baby move? I feel like i’ve felt my baby move more at 20 weeks than now at 26 weeks. Not sure if it should be a cause for concern that she’s much more quiet the last 2 days. I’ve not been eating much sugar so not sure if that’s what’s causing it??

I've felt exactly the same, last week or so has definitely been different when I thought I'd be feeling more as he's growing. I've already been up for one triage just to get it checked out and they said his heart rate was fine then had a feel of my stomach. They said they could feel him right in the middle and as I've got an anterior placenta, the feelings would be muted. If you're ever worried though you're able to go to triage to get checked out x

Definitely go to triage if you are worried. They are brilliant at reassuring you. I'm 27 weeks today and spent the weekend there as was worried about a few days on minimal movement. It turned out to be a longer visit than planned but worth it. They monitor the heartbeat properly which is great. They sent me for a growth scan and all ok. Of course baby started moving loads after I'd been 🤣

Any change in movement call triage and get checked out! Every baby is different so no two babies are going to be the same but it’s what’s normal to your baby x

Yep I agree with the other ladies. Don’t ever feel bad for getting checked out. I went twice last week and was in tears worrying not only about baby but about wasting their time but they assured me that they’d much rather see us then have us sitting at home worrying xxxx

Thank you ladies i’m going to pop in after work i just don’t want to feel like a nuisance to them xx

Mines now becoming a regular pattern at 27 weeks. Obvious movements when I first wake up and after we have dinner so around 7/8pm then in the afternoon when I’m back at my desk after lunch. Pretty much after I eat 😂 if I’m out and about all day I don’t feel much as they are probably sleeping or I’m not really paying attention to it but if you’re worried definitely call triage and get checked over! I’ve been this morning and was in and out within an hour. I have an anterior placenta so movement are felt a little bit less but can still feel strong movements at times which does throw me off!
