The first 2 days were absolute chaos. Wee everywhere. A lot of wee. Everywhere but the toilet. I was going to give up, then day 3 it literally clicked and from there he was so successful, and I could count on one hand the accidents that followed the rest of the week. But they do all take to it differently. I wouldn’t rush to give up, but you’ll know soon if it really is too soon.
Give it a week lol
If they are willing to sit on the potty and aren't pissed off about continually trying then keep going lol if it's a fight every time it's potty time then stop and try again in a month or two
A week. You’re only on Day 2. Keep persevering keep trying. 2.5 is a great age for western countries to train. We spent the first 2 days outside inthe backyard w the sprinkler running on a hot day so if he pees he pees didn’t matter but coming into the house he did start telling me when he needed to go coz he was more aware
@Liv definitely not a fight. We did have kinda a breakthrough after nap time. I think he just has a small bladder but he's eager to go
We have had 3 potty poops today so I do count that as a win.... usually he only poops once a day so he may be forcing due to incentives
When my son was ready it definitely took a few weeks to figure out how big his bladder was. We were taking him every 30 minutes for a while. Once they start to get a feel for it you can start extending that time pretty quickly. I'd say if he's eager just keep trucking! We turned 3 last week and can hold our bladder without accidents for 3ish hours during the day and from 10pm until almost 7 am without accidents or diapers 👍🏼 you'll get there
I started potty training my son at 2 years old and he was fully potty trained by 3 years old and he's now 6 years old
It differs. My LB is almost 2 and some days he has no accidents, some days he has up to 4 accidents. We just keep persevering!
