@Polina it’s the maternity day assessment unit I’ve tried to call. The EPU in my area only sees people until 14 weeks. Might try NHS 111
Nah go the hospital 100 go the hozzy !!!!
It may be worth calling again and just asking for a Doppler to listen in for your own peace of mind. I know not everywhere will but I’ve been lucky enough to have that when I was too early for the monitoring. Equally for reassurance it is still early for a regular movement pattern and totally normal if baby sways from it a bit. Even if they’ve just turned around and are kicking into your back or the placenta or something rather than you feeling it. It hopefully is nothing to worry about and totally normal at your gestation. But definitely make the phone call just for a Doppler to at least check the heartbeat. Or if funds allow it book a private scan for tomorrow if you have one near you. I’ve done that a few times for my own sanity but appreciate it’s not the cheapest way of getting reassurance
If triage won’t see you I could go to your nearest urgent care centre or call 111 and ask for an out of hours GP appointment for tonight. They should be able to use a Doppler to listen to baby for you x
@Rebecca Urgent care centres, A&E and GPs won't be able to help unfortunately 😔 x
Triage will see you from 16 weeks! That’s wrong information they’ve told you xx
@Saff it must depend where you are! My GP has done Doppler monitoring a couple of times! X
@Rebecca oh that is amazing! X
I had a horrible cold for 2 days (around 20 weeks) and didn’t feel baby move the whole time which was horrible but then once I felt better I felt them again and now I’m feeling the movements multiple times a day (22 weeks). Also midwife told me not to worry about movements being consistent before 24 weeks. Most likely baby is fine but if you’re really worried and triage isn’t being helpful I’d just go to the nearest hospital that has a maternity unit and ask to be seen. I had a little bleeding a few weeks ago and went to the nearest urgent care and I was seen.
Try calling again? Maybe some other nurse will ask you to come in. Is there early pregnancy ward? Or just emergency room then
