Am I being over protective?

My sister wanted me to go to my parents house so her friend could meet my baby and I said no, I actually gave another excuse because I knew she would be pissed off if I said the real reason. But my baby isn’t even a month old yet and had no vaccines so I don’t want her being passed around. She literally asked me the night before and gave no warning in advance. Then she got pissed off when I said I had plans and said I should make time for my family. I then said I wasn’t feeling great as to not cause conflict but now I’ve heard she’s calling me precious to my parents and saying I’m being over protective and she never did this with her baby (who was born in summer not winter) but she’s barely messaged me since I’ve had the baby asking how we’re doing and I’m just kind of pissed off with the whole situation because I feel like she’s being selfish

I think it doesn’t matter what she did with her baby or when her baby was born, this is your baby and you get to decide and make the rules for yourself. I don’t think you’re being overprotective but even if you were it’s your baby so up to you

I had the same argument with my partner his family is very big and very close and within the first week of us being home there was about 10 people in the house and it really sent me spiralling as there was a toddler aswell it caused a lot of arguments and I just wish I stood my ground and refused to bring the baby down. So no you are definitely not being overprotective your being a mother and never feel bad for it xx

@Martine yeah she also brought my nephew to the hospital to visit her when he was ill! I was furious but she just said it’s allergies, it was not

Your baby your rules and if people can’t respect that their loss!! My 6 week old currently has a cough and viral rash because someone didn’t listen to me when I said keep the coughing toddler away from my baby and I’m so angry with myself for it so you do you🫶🏼you know what’s best for your baby

@Martine I’m sorry to hear that, I hope your little one is better soon 💜
