In my 16 years in childcare only 1 child is have worked with just never settled. From toddlers to school but started school and was absolutely fine. X

How many days does your child do? If you can afford it put in for more days until settled then reduce x

She doesn't start until 10th December and she's only done 3 x 1 hour sessions there, but she has cried the whole time! She has another 2 x 1 hour sessions this week and think we'll do another 3 next week. We don't have any family near us, so for the last year she's been with me everyday! So I understand why she doesn't like it! I'm not even emotional that she doesn't like it, is that bad? I just want her to be settled so I can have some time and also go back to work 😥🙈

She'll settle, just some children take longer than others. It's not unknown to take a month or two for children to settle. My biggest tip is trying not to keep her off nursery unnecessarily until settled. As in no random days out, obviously, if poorly, that's different. When you keep them off for random days she might be worse going back, 1 step forward 2 steps back kind of thing. Persistence is key alongside routine. X
