Hiya! I can not recommend it enough. I’m at Nuffield and they have a Creche (3 and over get 2 hours free A DAY!) although your little one is only 1 it would be £6 an hour. However. It works a treat for our family. My mental health has been much better round this time. I feel physically better and mentally better. My 3 year old loves it and because I knew the staff I put our second little one in from 8 weeks old. He goes in 3 times a week for one hour. I think it’s a nice introductory to other people caring for him before he goes into nursery when I return to work. Also (hopefully) building a slight immune. He’s 4 months now and has gotten a cold just once. However this could have been from his sister bringing home nursery bugs. Maybe ask what their ratios are though?
Yes! Have been for the last 2 months! (My daughter is 21months old) First 3 weeks went great. Then there was a day that there were no other kids in there for 45 min (we typically go for an hour-hour and a half).... Since then she has been hit or miss at drop off if she cries cuz she thinks there are no other kids...., but staff have been great and calm her down within 5 min. Staff have always asked ' how long do you want us to wait to call you' so like if she's crying for 15 min I ask that they call me and I'll come get her. It's never been an issue.
Oh girl DO IT!! I pay $15 a week unlimited sessions for my 2 boys (5 months and 3.5 years) it's honestly a game changer. Sometimes I'll just go to do 90 minutes of reading on a treadmill or headphones in to watch a show on a bike. It's honestly given me a second wind being a good mum my patience is restored. If the 5 month old is unsettled or needs a feed they just call me I come in and settle him and go back on the floor. Honestly the creches are so affordable staff are accommodating and my 3 year old feels like he's socialised with peers and not just been with mum all day
What places would offer this?? the YMCA?
I used to work in childcare at the YMCA. Loved it! I would say go for it
I personally haven’t t but prior to having a child, the local gym had a really cool gym set up for children so parents could work out. It was clean and the staff was amazing!
