I had 2 nights (first night though she was born at 10pm so I didn’t get out of recovery till about 2am). It was the perfect amount of time for me and I’ll be asking for it again. Time to shower and get moving, time to get feeding help and eat a good meal, get a nights sleep xx
All depends on how you are afterwards I would say. Our hospital trust keeps everyone 24 hours to monitor baby and then assuming all is well you’d be discharged but you can stay another night or 2 if you want to. I stayed 2 nights after my unplanned section last time but my LG was born at 9.16pm so I didn’t expect to be discharged the following day. They’d have let me stay another night had I wanted but I was desperate to get home x
Depends if all is okay with you and baby then usually 24 hours depending on what time you had your section, my first was 9am but was in for a week until his blood sugars were stable (GD), 2nd was 10.55pm I was in that night, the following night then home the next day, 3rd was 5pm and I was discharged around 7pm following day xx

If all is well with you and baby you'll generally be out by the evening of the following day
