Co sleeping with a crawling baby!

My son is 7 months and is crawling everywhere now. He has slept in our bed since 2 months old. We don’t really have the room to put up a crib nor can my mental health handle transitioning him into a crib. I’m just not ready. I’m trying to find options to keep him safe while staying in our bed. He goes to sleep at 7:30pm and we come to bed around 10:30 so there’s 3 hours of him being by himself. He has fallen off the bed once (he was perfectly ok and checked by a doc to be safe. But the bed is low to ground and I did put pillows on ground in case a accident occurred but it has raised my anxiety now) I found a rail on Amazon but it’s looking at 100-150 for the king size bed. Hoping to find a cheaper option for this.

Put the bed on the floor

@DJ AMMMM💕🫶🏼🙏 I have only a boxspring under it. No frame holding it up higher or anything. I can’t take the boxspring away and make it lower due to medical conditions it makes it very painful for me to be able to get up from the ground

I bought a floor mattress for my son at that age.

@Christina🤱🏼🍂☕️♈️ how did he do with it? My son level 100 Velcro baby so I’m definitely worried sleep will be done for with one😅 or that he will somehow sneak out of it

Been fine ever since. Anytime he needs me he comes and gets me. I’m fortunate to be in an apartment so no stairs and nothing to worry about to hurt him in the middle of the night if he wakes

Sleep sack helped slow our girl down. Other than that just the bed rails. Get extendable ones. Can use them in various beds. Otherwise as mentioned above a floor bed. And to avoid him sneaking out - a baby gate on the door and a camera.
