Hospital or GP tomorrow?

On hold with 111. Any idea what this could be? Looks too bad to be teething? On hold with 111 to see if we should be going to A&E

Could be slapped cheek. Does it disappear if you apply pressure to it? If baby seems well in themselves and the rash blanches when pressure is applied I’d hold out for the gp tomorrow and monitor over night. Still always ask 111 x

@sarah yeah it does dissappear and he's okay within himself now that he's had some calpol. Rash seems to be getting better too since calpol x

What did 111 say? Well that’s good 😌 i hope he gets better soon x

My son has some crazy rashes like that every once in a while too!!

My kid gets rashes like that from teething cuz he drools like crazy. If they're napping in their own drool it can look like that

This doesn't feel A&E worthy if they're fine in themselves. Interested to hear what 111 said! In our area it's either nothing and they reassure you on the phone, or you have to go to A&E as there's nothing in between. Very annoying!

They said as he has no other symptoms it's probably nothing to worry about and to phone GP in the morning if I was still concerned. It's completely gone this morning and he's back to his normal self, eating and drinking fine. It must have been teething was just a shock to wake up and see! Thanks for commenting girls! X

My son has this at the moment too. He used to get them a lot during teething and cold weather!
