I'm the same. Just over two weeks left ( finish on the 6th)- working as a infant teacher so screaming kids all day. So tired as not sleeping- tossing and turning. Sides ache as heavier now and I have bad carpol tunnel in my wrists :( People keep saying it's your body preparing you for motherhood- I was hoping to make the most of sleep before he comes!
@Chloe me too! My last day is 5th dec. I also work in health care and am struggling now. I hope the sleep improves for us!! X
@Chloe my last day working is the 5th! When is your due date? Ahh I really feel for you as I’m in exactly the same boat! I work with the ambulance service and I’m struggling now! I was also hoping to get in as much sleep as possible! Maybe when our mat leave starts we can try and get some more naps in! Good luck x
My due date is the 6th Jan but I have gestational diabetes now so will likely have a csection at 38-39 weeks- so christmas week! Just trying to sit where I can. Poor you that's full on too! Hopefully it will go quickly for you. I've found it helpful having quieter weekends x
@Chloe my due date is 4th Jan but I’m having a planned c section so mine is also looking like Christmas week. Just waiting on my date to confirm! So exciting! Best of luck to you!! Xx
Yes, I'm 34 weeks tomorrow and experiencing very similar - frustrating! Thankfully if I sleep poorly one night, I manage to catch up a bit the next night owing to being so shattered 🙈 x
@Claudia your lucky, nighttime’s are just terrible for me, I can’t even catch up on the sleep. Only when I’m totally exhausted during the day and don’t have work, I tend to nap better then sleeping the night! Xx
Im the exact same, wake up at 2-3 most mornings and am actually too awake to fall back to sleep 😭. I think it’s quite common in pregnancy as I had the same with my 1st baby too. Are you working from home ? Or actually in a work place ? Day time naps are definitely a god send if you can get them in but know they aren’t always possible. X
@Bryony try sleep meditation podcast, that helped me. I had a sleeping mask with Bluetooth to listen to that. Also some fragrance can help, I have a pillow mist from Rituals
I’m exactly the same wow didn’t know this was a common thing around this time
Completely the same! Tossing and turning, getting up to pee what feels like every 5 minutes, carpal tunnel in both wrists, and now I've caught a cold and terribly sore throat on top! Xxx
me too! thankfully I’m still going into to see my toddler so I’ve never actually gotten used to sleeping again since being pregnant the first time so It never affects me as bad as it should🤣
@Bryony Damn, I hope you can find any way you can to take it easy and rest as much as possible! xx
Yep I'm exactly the same. And when I do eventually fall asleep. I'm straight back up as I can't stay alseep. Mentally draining now. I've got just over 2 weeks left in a healthcare role and then I'm done.
