Sleeping through the night✨

My newborn is now 10 days old and is sleeping through the night at around 6hrs! Is this okay? He went over his birth weight and I’m waking him up every 3 hrs throughout the day to feed

As long as he is getting enough milk throughout the day then it's definitely okay. Just don't wake him up tho. The wake up is only if there is trouble with weight and they need to gain it. My eldest slept through from quite early on, never needed to wake her up and she had plenty of milk in the day as I fed her on demand, so if she was hungry/thirsty she would drink the milk.

don't wake him it's just a phase he needs his sleep my LO was the same

My girl was the same! I didn’t wake her and she was fine ☺️ she also sleeps very well now (5 months) so hoping the same for you ❤️

My boy was and still is the same 😊 as long as he continues to gain good weight, he’s absolutely fine!

don’t wake him let him sleep girl x

Mine was the same ! Leave them 🥰 Enjoy it before the 4month sleep regression hits 🤪

Hey, so I would be waking the baby up for feeds. I’ve been told by a midwife that at that age, they’re not sleeping through because they’re not hungry, they’ve not got enough energy to cry for milk because they’ve not had a feed in a while. Waking them up will reduce the risk of dehydration and jaundice too x

My baby slept through from 2 weeks old and is still very consistent with it (she’s 4 months old) the odd time she’ll wake throughout the night for a feed. I only feed on demand and I’m sure that she gets enough milk throughout the day doing it this way. If your baby isn’t waking up, they clearly don’t need you. Baby will let you know if they need you🙂x

When mine was a newborn I was told at his 2 week apt that as long as he’s past his birth weight, we could stop night feedings and let him sleep through. As long as he’s feeding fine throughout the day! And honestly thank goodness, bc I was making him so mad at night 😂😂 But he was the perfect sleeper and he’d have his bottle at 9pm and I’d wake him for the day at 6a and he was perfectly content
