Nighttime nappy

Any tips on baby wetting through nappy/clothes at nighttime? My 11 week old is now sleeping 6-7 hour stretches however when he wakes he is wet through, I feel so guilty! He sleeps in pampers and they fit correctly, my only other idea is to wake him after 4 hours and change him but I’m reluctant as I want to encourage him to sleep through, any tips hugely appreciated ☺️

Hey! Which pampers do you use? X

I’ve always found pampers to do this at night time when they sleep for longer stretches, possibly change nappy brand for bed? Surprisingly Lidl nappies are very good as well as boots own brand & asda.

@Sadia I use pampers premium protection new baby size 2

@Carris thank you for the suggestion I’ll try some other brands ☺️

We used reusable nappies for overnight for this exact reason. Different brands or sizes of disposable ones didn’t help and she was always leaking. We found a cloth reusable worked amazingly overnight (we used disposable during the day)

Pampers are terrible for this. We use the aldi nappies and I do a size up at night time and we've never had leaks

@Leanne thank you!

@Abi thank you so much for the advice nice to know it’s not just me

We had this with my son. Make sure everything is pointing downwards before you do up his nappy 😊 x

I dont like pampers as they leaked. Trying different brand or size up

How deeply is baby sleeping? I mastered the sleepy change. Just go slow and steady, keep him warm and try change him without waking him.

I found the aldi size 2 nappies leaked overnight so I used tesco nappies and they were really good for all night. Now my boy is is size 3 aldi have been brilliant and tesco have leaked lol

I also found pampers leaked

@Sarah pretty deeply however I fear changing him will wake him! But I can give it a go ☺️

@Ally constant trial and error 😂 thanks!

It is, boys are a bloody nightmare with their nappies and how they pee x

I found this in the smaller sizes of the pampers , my little boy leaked through but as he got bigger, the pampers ones were fine for him. When he was small, we actually used Asda ones and they were the only ones that he could sleep through the night and not leak. Xx

@Charley lots of slow movement and shhs, lay him on your bed or something comfy and go slow like defusing a bomb 😂 eventually you’ll get really fast at it if he’s deep asleep. I had to do midnight changes till she was about 6 months old

Personally use aldi and find leak less, I have been using 4+ as +nappies hold more but same size

@Charley how did you get him sleeping through ? X

@Dani do a final feed around 9/10pm in the bedroom lights off, no noise then put him in his beside me bed, I’m awaiting the 4 month sleep regression 😂 got to take the sleep whilst you have it never know when they’ll change

My daughter had always slept 12 hours at the night so I’ve always woke her before I go bed to change her quickly then I go sleep she falls back to sleep in her bed. I’ve done this since newborn she’s 6 months now. Keep room quiet and as dark as possible get everything ready be fast. Worked for me

I use asda brand. When I checked it I thought omg it feels so thin but my little one last with it through the night without it leaking or her getting uncomfortable! Wasn’t expecting that from when I saw it the first time 😂

I use same ones and had this a few times with LO, size up for bed time premium protection ones. Helped us xx
