@Melissa I’m sorry to hear this Melissa 🥺 I really hope she’s feeling better soon, and sending lots of love to you both ❤️
@Emily thank you very much babe🩷 and good luck with your journey ahead. My girly is a jan 5th baby xx
@Melissa I think I need to gather research on RSV as I don’t really know how bad it is. I understand that not all babies get ill from kisses but my perspective is why risk it at all; he’s not quite on that page at the moment 😫 just want to protect baby as best I can 😞
Also risk of cold sores, which is very dangerous for little babies - “Cold sores can be dangerous for babies and can lead to neonatal herpes, a serious infection that can cause permanent disability or death” Ive taken that from Google Also just general germs and bacteria that someone may not know they have could make a newborn very ill. I just find it unhygienic and felt the same way when my LG was born
My little one caught RSV and it turned in to bronchiolitis which landed her in hospital. It’s something that’s very dangerous so definitely research and show your partner. He needs to support you on it to protect your little one x
@Jordan thank you for sharing, Jordan. I’m sorry you all had to experience that and hope everything is going much better now x
RSV is serious. My son was 4 months old and in hospital for 5 days over Christmas last year. Fed through a tube and on oxygen. Absolutely heartbreaking. I wouldn’t even want to think about a tiny baby going through that
I let anyone in my family kiss my 6 week old on forehead and she’s fine it’s whatever your comfortable with but people have kissed baby’s for years and most of them r fine n don’t get RSV u only get RSV if someone carries it and unfortunately you won’t know who untill the baby gets it unfortunately
@Jen ohh bless him 🥺
My 10 month old right now has RSV , just make him aware of how bad RSV is please , it’s no joke 🥺 my daughter so so poorly x
