You don’t have to go for an induction at all, you can request extra monitoring or go for other options too but be assured you can absolutely say no and ask all the questions you want about the risks/benefits/alternatives x But for now to speed things up you could try things which increase your oxytocin ie. get cosy watch a movie, also go for a walk/bounce on your birth ball so the baby’s head makes better contact with your cervix
Try make sure you are eating and staying hydrated, best thing to be doing is either going a walk or going on your birthing ball! X
This happened with my first although my waters hadn’t broken, it was just such a long process in the early stages. I went in for a second time as the contractions were so painful (and I was only 2cm 😩) but they tested my urine and I was really dehydrated with low sugars. After drinking loads of water and eating some carbs/sugary stuff I got to 4cm and more regular contractions in a few hours, so maybe worth a thought if you’re similar! It’s absolutely exhausting though, I only had 2hrs sleep in 3 days as I couldn’t sleep through the pain but still wasn’t progressing so I absolutely get your frustration. I really hope things speed up for you and you can avoid induction! Good luck 💕
