Where are the facilties for our babies???

Does anyone else find it so frustrating to go anywhere like shopping or a day out because there's nowhere to feed or change your baby? Its a 10 minute drive to my town centre and there's only 2 public toilets in the whole town. One in the bus station and one in the shopping centre which are on opposite ends of town so it's hard if your baby is crying for nappy change! None of the shops allow you to use their toilets and there's a handful of cafes but most of the time they aren't accessible or you have to purchase something to use them! I am currently sat in Primark fitting rooms after doing a nappy change and I'm sat feeding my little girl! The last time I came I had to change and feed her on a bench in the middle of town! Or I do it on the floor of the toilet which is so unhygienic. I needed to rant! Do others experience this??

Yeah, I felt that too. I got to the point where I will feed and change my baby anywhere. Sitting in a restaurant breastfeeding? Yep done that way too many times. Changed a diaper on a park bench? Yep. Sat under a tree on a picnic blanket to feed and change. Yep did that too. I will take care of my baby even if I don't have proper facilities.

I have mastered the art of changing my girl in the back seat of the car I don’t trust the public facilities ever if they are available. I’m super paranoid about her catching something

I dont drive. But my partner does and I've changed her in the car too! I completely agree I don't care where I am. This is my first child and she's only 4 months old but we have been going out since she was 6 days old. It's just a bit unbelievable there isn't much thought around this kind of thing.

Pram! Take a disposable puppy pad but it under her bum before you whip her nappt off and job done x

I take my whole boob out and feed anywhere and everywhere. If a shop or restaurant doesn’t have a changing station then you better believe I am changing my baby in his pram right there

Nothing is made for children and that sucks. It just shows they are not very welcome in public space and isolate in so many ways their parents.

I literally feed my baby anywhere. I’ve fed her while walking through the park, shopping in sainsburys and when I’m out shopping in town. With regard to changing, if there’s no facilities and I’m not near my car, I’ll just change her in her pram as it’s still one of the lie down ones

I hate that there’s hardly ever a toilet in the baby changing ? But yet the womens toilets are way too small to take the pram in? Am I supposed to just leave my baby outside whilst I go for a wee or something. It’s shocking. I also hate that there’s always about 3 parent and child parking spaces, but about 100 disabled ?

I try to research the facilities available before I travel and if I'm not satisfied that there are suitable facilities I won't shop at the place. The lack of facilities in places is appalling and sometimes even if they do have them they stink and are kept so filthy that you'd rather not change your baby there for fear of them catching something. I am also a driver so if push comes to shove I'd rather change my baby in my car.
