Still sick!

OK ladies, I can’t be the only one lol Does anyone else still struggle doing anything? I am 15 weeks and three days and I am still struggling with nausea and acid reflux. This is my third child so I’m not new to this and I am always sick with them, but it sucks soooo bad. I see people on social media and they’re eating what they want and running errands and I’m here sitting in a recliner all day just trying to hold it together. I have gotten a little better in the last 3 to 4 weeks but it still blows. I have had absolutely no appetite or cravings this whole pregnancy which makes it even worse because I want NOTHING to eat, but I have to force myself to eat because if I don’t, I’ll get even sicker. Also, just about everything I eat gives me acid reflux, so it is definitely a struggle. Just wondering if anybody is experiencing this. I am happy that other people feel good, but I just wish I was the same and there was an end in sight. Fyi, I don’t take any medication due to the side effects that I have read about. My second child was the one that I took Unisom and B6 with and she ended up having a heart murmur and I can’t help but wonder if that contributed in any way. Who knows, but I just don’t want to chance it so I am willing to suffer I guess 😅

Not alone, I’m 14 weeks and 1 day and struggling still with constant all day and night nausea. It’s almost like it got worse this week. I ended up actually vomiting on Tuesday and it was awful. I can’t wait until this passes and really hoping it does 😭

@Chelsea OMG yes! It definitely feels like it increased a little this week and that is my first time experiencing that during my second trimester. I guess that’s why I’m on here whining about it lol Hopefully we both get the relief that we need soon because it’s HARD 😩

I am 14 weeks 1 day and suffering so much still. Ugh!!

@Andree I’ll add that I’m also in that acid reflux boat. Literally EVERYTHING gives me acid reflux, even water I swear. I took Pepcid over the weekend, but then I threw up so I’m afraid to take it again 😭 Not that that’s what caused it, but still

@Monica Oh man! It sucks so much doesn’t it? 😔 Praying we all get better soon 🙏🏽

I use the anti nausea bracelet every day. Sometimes it helps as long as I eat something every hour or two. And I use the tums gummies + nausea and pink stork nausea candies. It’s helped me maintain the nausea even though I’m going to be 13 weeks. Still feels like it’s not getting better tho lol

@Chelsea I totally believe you with the water because it does me the same way. I will tell you the worst night I’ve had so far is when I took Tums and it made me throw up three or four times that night. I went through it for about three or four hours. I don’t know if I did not have enough food on my stomach to begin with or what. I took Tums with my second daughter and it worked like a charm but I will NOT be taking it with this one anymore. 😂

@Andree Yes it’s almost like reducing the acid makes it worse sometimes! Except one night it was so bad that that’s when I took the Pepcid. It helped slightly, but when I took it again the next night, that’s the night I threw up! I do not understand.

@Chelsea You totally understand what I am going through because that is EXACTLY how I feel. It’s so frustrating.

@Andree UGH I hate that we’re both going through this! It’s nice knowing someone else understands the struggle, but I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I hope we both get relief soon! 🥲

@Lisa I tried the bracelets for a while and I just couldn’t tell much of a difference. Maybe I will try putting those back on now and see if they will help a little more now. Preggie Pops unfortunately did not work for me but a brand called Upspring helped a smidge. Gosh, just ready to feel better lol

@Chelsea I agree! Well I guess fingers crossed 🤞

Im right there too! 14+4 and I’m so depressed with how sick I am. Even when I attempt to get out and do something it’s usually a short errand or appointment and then I have to rest all day. I have zero appetite, can’t drink water, and I have to force feed myself even though nothing tastes good :( I was sick the whole pregnancy with my first so I’m struggling to hope this will get better but every pregnancy is different. @Andree new fear unlocked…I’m taking unisom and b6 (not even sure it helps) but now you just scared me! How is your child’s heart murmur?

@Brielle Ugh 😩 I have certainly been depressed about it as well. I have been constantly thinking about what birth controls we will be putting into place because this is my final one and I don’t think I can mentally handle another pregnancy. I am happy about the baby, but it is mentally draining to be sick all day long. I was sick with my first one for the first three or four months or so. My second one I was sick until the fourth month and that is when they introduced me to the Unisom and B6. I took it the rest of the pregnancy. I remember trying to stop taking it one day and I, almost threw up the next day so I went right back on it. Please don’t be scared. Full disclosure I do have a brother with a heart murmur. Some people say it can be hereditary and some say it is not but being that she is the only one I took any medication with I just wanted to be extra cautious. Thankfully it is a small one and it doesn’t hinder her from regular activities. They monitored her until 3 years old.

@Andree thank you for sharing about your daughter. Glad she is doing ok now :) I typically prefer no medications at all and going as holistic and natural as possible. I thought unisom and b6 was a more “natural” option…I’ll have to look more into it :( I don’t want to harm my baby!

@Brielle Thank you so much! Yes, I totally understand and am the same way. I know some people have no choice but to take something but I figured I would do my best to survive without it. Crazy thing is it worked wonders for me in that pregnancy. I went from bedridden to absolutely normal in two days.

I am 14 weeks and in the same boat. It’s becoming really old. I feel like my body is creating lava and that paired with the post nasal drip and nausea, EVERYTHING comes back up!

@Bri My goodness we’re all living the same lives 😩 I am so tired of it. It’s not even funny. Every time I wake up in the morning, I hope and pray that this is the day that I feel like I am somewhat back to normal and it never happens. I know we all love our babies, but definitely can’t wait to till this part is over with 😂

@Bri Omg the post nasal drip too YES. Like WHY?!

@Chelsea I am currently sitting here with my box of tissues pretty sick just constantly spitting out the crud running down the back of my throat. 😅

Just hit 16 weeks 1 day and I’m FINALLY not sick. My nausea was so constant and so bad right to the end of the 15 week mark so you are not alone!

@Jess I am so happy for you and cannot wait to join you 😂 I am 16 weeks today and lying in bed waiting on that day. Did you just wake up one day and felt normal again or was it gradual?
