Sharp/severe pain when baby moves

I’ve been having a really bad sharp pain on the lower left side of my stomach when baby makes certain movements. I have brought this up to midwife but they said it’s probably round ligament pain. The pain is only ever on my left side and has been happening for a few months now but is becoming more frequent and painful as baby moves and often catches me off guard. I’m currently 37 weeks, is this normal or something I should raise with midwife again?

I know it’s probably super stressful but she’s probably right about the round ligament pains. I had them too really bad. My doctor basically told me not to worry and everything hurts at 37 weeks on.

If your ever majorly concerned call triage and get checked out it’s better to be safe

@Sian definitely, I’ll see how it goes for now but if it gets much worse I’ll probably just call. Thank you

Baby could be pressing on a nerve when they are in a certain position. I had it the other day when I was having a scan and that’s what the sonographer said it could be
