Does a phased return still count as sickness or does it count as back to work even though only doing a couple of days a week?
I have been signed off sick for almost 5 months now (work related stress). I want to return back on a phased return of 2 days a week to begin with. Does a phased return still count as sick? Just worried, I cannot afford to take a pay cut if it comes up to 6 months and they stop paying me.

@Lisa so it counts as you being back at work?
If you’re on a phased return and working, you are classed as being back at work. It’s only if you are not working that it would be classed as being off.

Not in my trust it doesn't, it used to be that you have to use annual leave for phased return but they changed that, occupational health decided what I had to go back
