Feeding

Evening all! I am so exhausted and delirious at this point. My little ones' sleep has turned to crap so I'm trying everything to help it! I BF and Express feed: typically I breastfeed every 2 hours ish my trying to drag out his night feeds. He has a bottle at 6 pm of 4oz Some food at 7pm A bottle at 8pm of 7oz with some baby rice But he is still getting up at 11.30 screaming! Even though he should be full! What is everyone else feeding their little ones? Anyone else the same as me? I have thought about swithcinf to pumping and bottle feeding full time. Exclusive pumping mummas; what are you feeding your littles ones, and how often?

7oz is a lot for a breastfed baby, could be too much, particularly with baby rice too and could be making him uncomfortable perhaps? Typically with breastmilk they reach their peak feeding volume at 4 ounces give or take and will never really need more than this as the milk adapts to meet their needs

I pump as my baby never latched well and I have never offered more than 5oz. She usually drinks 4oz, goes up to 5 when she is going through a growth spurt. I did offer more in the beginning as I didn’t know BF babies and formula babies don’t actually drink the same volumes because of the differences of the constituents of the milk, but she would either vomit or be quite uncomfortable and unsettled post feed.

Reduce the amount of milk with baby rice before bed because I’m sure it causes stomach ache that’s why he wake he is overfed and probably after this large feed he wakes feels like he either needs more or suffering from stomach ache .my baby combination fed but I never give her more than 4-5oz but she can’t take more anyway I tried.7 oz seems a lot to me but every baby is different

The problem is if I offer him 4oz he is still hungry and trying to grab and feed on the bottle and showing signs he is not yet full 🤣😅🤦🏻‍♀️

So had to up it so he is content and full, have started weaning to help fill him to try help him stay full and content

How are your little ones sleeping with only 4/5oz before bed?
