Is it petty to keep father away from newborn because you can’t handle being around him for the moment?
He made my pregnancy miserable always asking to borrow money. And now he’s constantly telling me I’m not his girlfriend if I say something bothers me when I told him if he can’t come anymore to let me know. It’s really affecting my mental health interacting with him and he has no sort of empathy.

Absolutely not. You feel used and you just had his child.
Him stressing you out & not being supportive is damaging to you & the baby so no it’s not petty! You are doing the right thing
