Teeth

How do you deal with feeding once baby’s teething and have teeth. My baby is just starting to teethe, and one of my biggest fears with breastfeeding is getting bit. How can I stop her from biting while shes teething and once she has teeth?

Continue like normal. If baby bites remove them tell them no and relatch. If the teething is bad frozen teethers and Tylenol. I’ve been nursing for 13 months and my baby got her first tooth at 4 months. I don’t see stopping anytime soon.

My baby cut my nipples when she started teething at 3 months so i pumped and gave it to her in a bottle while they healed but by the time i tried to get her back on the boob she only wanted the bottle which was fine but i got lazy with the pumping so my supply dropped to literally nothing so if you do this I can’t stress enough to keep pumping! X

Carry on! My 11 month old has 6 teeth and he’s never bitten me. Sometimes teeth have scraped when he’s teething and getting used to them, but biting isn’t possible for them to do if they are latched correctly, so you just have to keep and eye on them whilst they’re feeding to make sure they stay latched correctly x
