My son is like that he is 4 yr now. Since it was our second kid after 16yrs it felt like it was our first kid so we cuddle him alot and he got too attached he will not sleep without us beside him and even if he sleeps, an hour or two afte he realizes we not there he will leave his room and come to our bed even till date he still dose that but not same with our Dota she likes her space at 2 yrs. So we just keep taking him back to his room each time he wakes up.
@Kassia I try this every night and he still wakes up a bunch until I finally stay in bed. It's just odd to me that he does just fine during the day. And now that he is independent during the day, he needs more support at night again. He gets me to go to bed at a more reasonable hour. I just kinda miss when I could watch a whole episode without being interrupted lol guess I'll just have to wait until he's older.
@Summer ah yeah, the nighttime babies are just different! I also like to stay up late, but my baby wakes up a lot in the night, so I would probably be dead if I didn’t go to bed with her
My baby is the same! She sleeps much longer next to me or knowing I’m sleeping too! I think they can tell the difference between bedtime for everyone and bedtime just for them 😅 If I want to trick my baby into thinking I’m going to bed with her, then I get ready for bed and lay with her in my room with the background noise and the lights off and nurse her to sleep while I’m under a blanket. Then, I must stealthily sliver out and leave my pillow near her face (so she smells me). It is not a fool-proof method and not always successful, but it works sometimes 🤣🤣🤣
