Newborn & Toddler Moms

So for the moms that have a new born & toddler that are not in school yet. What are we doing after waking up between the hours of 2-4am then waking up for the the early morning feed around 6-8am of the newborn? Are we going back to sleep with baby and toddler or are we letting baby sleep and getting our day started with toddler?

I tried to get the kids the maximum sleep hours so if it's just extra hours of do it, but if it makes them skip nap or messes with bedtime, then I'd just get up. Do what works for you right now, and don't worry about being awake for school hours, business hours, or whatever. Everything will change several times over the next few months, so make it easy on you now and the schedule will work itself out later.

Once my toddler wakes up(anywhere between 530-630 usually) I try to leave the newborn in bed for a few mins to try to tend to her, give her cuddles, change her, etc. My husband does sleep in but cuz he gets off work. Midnight-3 am Between the hours of 2-4 I am hopefully asleep after his feed but last night I was WIDE awake for some reason 🥲

You mean you get to hit snooze with a toddler? Cuz I sure can't 🤣

I’ve trained both my kids to sleep until 9/9:30 thank goodness

@Joi out of interest what time do they go to sleep? X

Between 9:30 and 10pm. I don’t have a newborn anymore though. But my 14 month old still wakes 1-2 times a night to breastfeed

@Favi 🐄💕 if I am lucky, yes😂 I came to find out that his normal wake up time is 9/9:30ish. If he wakes up earlier than that, I try and tell him let’s go night night for a bit and it works, AT TIMES . lol

@Isabel that's crazy lol my toddler has work up at 530/555/605/630/715 and once I had to wake her up at 738 I was honestly afraid something was wrong cuz she rarely wakes up before 700 her wake up times are supperrrrr inconsistent and I can definitely never have her go back to sleep once she's up 🥲
